Dr. Chen understands the necessity to provide the best treatment to all our patients. We have the most advanced technology to serve and protect our patients. We own one of the best digital X-ray available now a day. Compared with conventional film-based systems, digital X-ray systems significantly reduce radiation doses: by up to 30% (panoramic imaging), and 60% (cephalometric imaging). This means greater safety for everybody.

iTero Digital Scanner

Marlboro Orthodontics welcomes our new iTero Digital Scanner! With our new iTero Scanner, Dr. Chen can take a highly accurate digital impressions and in many cases can eliminate using an uncomfortable tray and putty impression. The iTero scanner uses proprietary scanning technology to generate a virtually perfect impression in less time and with less discomfort to our patients.

Laser Dentistry

Dr. Chen is always trying to stay on top of the latest technology to make your orthodontic experience the best it can be. Our newest technological advance is laser dentistry. Lasers are used in place of scalpels in such procedures as a frenectomy, gingivectomy and an exposure of an impacted tooth. There are several major benefits of using laser vs. scalpel such as:

  • Certain procedures do not require anesthesia or sutures.
  • Damage to surrounding tissue is minimized and wounds heal faster.
  • Minimizes bleeding because the high-energy light beam aids in the clotting of exposed blood vessels, thus inhibiting blood loss.

Not every case requires or is suitable for laser dentistry, as every case is as different as the individual.

Laser Whitening

Dr. Chen has added a new specialty to our list of offered benefits in the office - Laser Whitening with the ezLase laser from Biolase! Dr. Chen has been using the laser in the office previously for procedures such as frenectomies, gingivectomies, and tooth exposures. NOW with the same laser, he can perform teeth whitening.
Some of the benefits of this new specialty include:

  • Fast, gentle whitening system that works in 20 minutes of gel-to-tooth contact time vs. 60 minutes for ordinary non laser systems
